Common name: Mexican Fencepost
Botanical name: Pachycereus marginatus

Evergreen columnar cactus grows quickly to 10' x 6'. Stems are dark green and have small white spines. Flowers are pink and appear in spring. A bold, dramatic accent plant. Good in containers. Accepts reflected heat. Native to southern Mexico.

This cactus can grow large, 20-50', but grows very slowly. Long, white bristles cover the skin and give it the look of white hair. Rose colored blooms nestle in the bristles. Requires excellent drainage but otherwise and effortless cactus in the garden.

Evergreen palmlike succulent grows slowly to 5' x 4'. Dark green fronds end in pointed leaflets. Rarely brown cones will appear in spring. Provides subtropical effect. Great for containers. Partial to full shade is best. Side sprouts can form multi trunked individual. Native to Japan.

Globe shaped cactus grows slowly to 1-1/2' x 2'. Golden spines line medium green ribs. Yellow flowers appear in spring. Full sun but prefers some shade in low desert. Striking accent. Looks attractive in groupings. Native to southern Mexico.
